How It Works
The local qpdf WebAssembly engine uses the authorized password to decrypt the selected PDF and writes a separate unencrypted copy when the credentials are valid.
Limitations and Important Notes
- The correct existing password is required.
- Do not remove access controls from documents you are not authorized to modify.
- Unlocking does not repair corrupt PDFs.
